30 actions to make a difference

For 30 years, APRIL Marine has been more than just an insurance company. Our passionate team is committed to building a more humane, supportive, and sustainable world, both on the water and on land. This selection of 30 initiatives highlights the small and large gestures that have shaped our history, such as waste collection in marine environments, supporting families of neurodivergent children, women’s fishing projects, training young sailors, and adopting iconic St. Lawrence animals.

These commitments reflect our values: passing on, protecting, and sailing with heart. Together, we continue to make every wave count.

Mission 1000 Tonnes

In addition to Mission 1000 Tonnes, we are actively involved in cleaning up Quebec’s shores and waterways. Each year, our teams participate in cleanups that remove hundreds of kilos of waste. This initiative not only protects our ecosystems but also raises awareness in the boating community. Together, we’re restoring the beauty of the St. Lawrence River.

Expédition Saint-Laurent

We are proud to support Expedition St. Lawrence, a project that combines scientific research with environmental awareness. The expedition’s voyage down the river to the ocean’s mouth aims to document biodiversity and the impact of human activities on the marine ecosystem. Thanks to our support, educational content is being created to raise awareness and promote the cause among the general public.

Clean Marine

APRIL Marine supports the Clean Marine program, which promotes eco-friendly practices in marinas. By supporting this recognized environmental certification, we are promoting more sustainable boating. Certified marinas are committed to reducing their ecological impact for the benefit of all boaters and the planet.

GREMM Beluga

APRIL Marine is committed to environmental protection and the conservation of endangered wildlife. The company has supported GREMM’s research on belugas and other marine species in the St. Lawrence in the past. This support contributes to monitoring and protecting this iconic endangered species. In 2026, we adopted a female beluga named April who is often seen with several young belugas.

Rallye Croisière

Club APRIL Marine is delighted to support Rallye Croisière, a regatta for sailing enthusiasts on the St. Lawrence River. This festive, eco-friendly event takes place over the course of 10 days in the wilderness of Quebec. Each year, the event showcases good nautical practices and raises awareness about the importance of preserving the river and its banks. It’s a convivial way to combine pleasure and ecological awareness.

Femina Cup

Through its support of the Femina Cup, Club APRIL Marine is affirming its commitment to a more inclusive boating community. This all-women’s regatta showcases the talent, passion, and determination of female sailors. Through this partnership, we are promoting gender diversity in a male-dominated industry. Promoting the role of women in sailing means changing attitudes in the nautical world.

Croisière Alizés

APRIL Marine proudly supports the Croisière Alizés, a human and solidarity adventure led entirely by women. This sailing expedition aims to rebuild the self-confidence of women who have faced personal or health challenges by harnessing the power of the collective and the sea. By supporting this project, we affirm our commitment to promoting inclusion, resilience, and self-improvement in the maritime world.

Adrénaline sailing team

APRIL Marine proudly supports the Adrénaline sailing team, a group of passionate sailors who navigate the St. Lawrence River. Through this partnership, we highlight local players in the boating industry and encourage responsible sailing rooted in respect for the environment. The Adrénaline team embodies the camaraderie, performance, and passion that define the boating community.

LOOR

APRIL Marine is proud to support the Susan Hood Trophy, an iconic sailing race organized by Lake Ontario Offshore Racing (LOOR). As a partner, we promote the safe practice of sailing and diversity among racing participants. Our commitment reflects our desire to promote inclusive and responsible boating that is open to all, even in the most demanding conditions.

Barrie Yatch Club

APRIL Marine is pleased to support the Barrie Yacht Club, which is renowned for its commitment to young sailors and sailing education. Through its youth programs, the club instills the values of safety, discipline, and respect for the environment in future sailors. Encouraging sailing education from an early age helps build a responsible and passionate sailing community.

Défi Kayak Desgagnés

Through the Défi Kayak Desgagnés, the Club APRIL Marine is supporting a dedicated, hardworking team of two female kayakers on a four-day expedition down the river. The expedition benefits the Fondation des Jeunes musiciens du monde. In addition to supporting an inspiring social cause, this event fosters a connection with the St. Lawrence River and nature. We affirm our commitment to using boating as a means of fostering solidarity and self-improvement.

Association des Scouts Marins du Grand Montréal

By supporting the Association des Scouts Marins du Grand Montréal, APRIL Marine supports an organization that teaches young people navigation and maritime values. This initiative fosters the development of nautical skills and teamwork. By encouraging young people to explore the marine world, we are preparing a new generation of responsible and dedicated boaters.
